Oh I LOVE this! For so many reasons. 
My son Tod LOVED “OWL” magazine when he was growing up. It was a great magazine then and is today! It’s a great way to help kids realize there are more things in life than the social media algorithm.
The back-story of how the magazine came into existence, who now publishes it (and their philosophy about its purpose and the condition of the sale) is a great story. And now, the little boy who loved the magazine so much, has grown up. He has been working for several month that OWL magazine can find its way into the hands of some of today’s underprivileged Canadian children. Needless to say, I immediately followed through and a child somewhere in Canada will be getting a year’s subscription to OWL magazine, for free.
Yes, I LOVE this! Thanks to … Tod … the original women who came up with the original concept … the Assumptionists (who insisted that a condition of the sale was that the magazine must stay non-religious) … and First Book Canada.
