Grief.
It appears unexpectedly.
… wears different costumes.
… sometimes puts a smile on our face.
… often brings sadness to our heart.
… is not predictable
in either timing or outcome.
Grief.
When we acknowledge its presence,
and we give it its space.
We recover
… somewhat.
Until
the next time,
when grief appears
and
‘is’.
As the ebb and flow of grief
finds its way into your life
may a gentle prayer
and warm shaft of healing light
wing your way
encouraging you to remember
… you are stronger than you think you are.
Even through times,
when grief
‘is’.

A beautiful poem about the world’s current greatest nightmare!
After almost ten years, something will ‘pop up’ (a photo, a song, an expression, etc.) and in seconds, tears spill out of my eyes. 99% of the time, I’m fine and ‘whole’ but sometimes, when I am not prepared, there it comes! I acknowledge it and allow myself that brief moment of missing my wonderful man, then keep on moving forward, for that is my only choice.
