How many of us live perfect lives?
… lives that are free from stress, devoid of unpleasantness?
… lives without people who are disrespectful, hateful, sarcastic, prejudiced?
… lives without experiencing fear … of anything … anyone … any situation?
… lives without a disability of some kind be that physical, intellectual, emotional, spiritual?
Not one of us.
We all stumble at one time or another.
Hopefully, when we do (in spite of whatever hurdles, barriers, curveballs life, weather, people, or heredity sends our way), we will do so as part of the dance of life, remembering that science has proven that dancing is good for the body, good for the mind, good for the soul.
When we stumble, may we make it part of our dance of life.

I couldn’t resist taking this photo (which I call “Nature’s Dance”) from my deck in the Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada.
A couple of days ago I was on a beach in California. The waves were huge and the ‘No Swimming’ signs were up. It was magnificent. As I read your reflections, June, I started to look at some of the challenges that I have with my adult children and linked that to the movement of the waves. When they were young I watched and was affected by the way they behaved and reacted to things were rather like the waves: some huge, some moving them ahead, some seemingly pulling them back and I recognize that once again I’m being impacted on by their magnificence, by the very fact that they ARE.
Sometimes I’m profoundly affected, sometimes I feel lonely as if they are pulling away from the shore (me) and sometimes the water is calm and peaceful. Peaceful waters are wonderful but sometimes we face a raging sea and everything in between. Like the sea not all dances are the same. For that I give thanks.
